Rebranding.

For the first time in several weeks, I'm feeling caught up, despite the ongoing pressures and shifts of life/work/faith.

Thanksgiving was spent in total solitude (once again), and I needed a quiet day where direct messages from work weren't coming in, emails and text messages were relatively few and far between, and almost end-to-end stillness was present. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there is no OCIA this weekend, and I'm so thankful that I can go to Mass without dragging along reference materials and my laptop! I've also listened to all of the Catechism in a Year episodes I allowed to lapse over the past few weeks, which has been welcome after a needed break. I struggled enormously with the end of pillar three in the Catechism, and am weighing the idea of contacting Fr. Mike Schmitz, as his elaboration and teachings were wholly inappropriate—enough for me to fully disengage with his content (it was was appalling, but no one is infallible). This experience underscored that pacing is crucial right now so that I have the time to approach tough subjects from a place of contemplation versus a runaway reactive state.

In 2019 I started to kick around the notion of bringing together a collective of creatives and starting a business. With the onset of the pandemic years, individuals who had expressed interest in joining Daydream Creative backed out, and I've been carrying the brand alone for four years as a sole proprietor. I've wanted to shift back to a presence with personal branding for clarity, especially considering the oversaturation of the industry. I was recruited into a fantastic role eighteen months ago, and as this site is primarily used for me now, not a business, it is time for a refresh! The rebrand looks amazing, and I'm looking forward to creating a comprehensive digital space for blogging, photography, music, and design instead of an unmanaged creative services website. Hoping to be fully rebranded and launched by the end of next month to start fresh.

That's a wrap for this week... I have a new rosary from Mondo Cattolico I need to break in: Hail Mary, full of grace.
